A fishmonger in China got more than he bargained for when he cut in to a squid for one of his customers.
The 3ft squid had been caught in the waters off Guangdong province before being taken to a local market. Mr Huang had been preparing the creature with a knife when he discovered an eight-inch live bomb inside it. "This sort of squid lives close to the shore and normally makes a meal of small fish
and prawns," he said. "Perhaps he thought the bomb was his favourite food and gulped it down. He certainly had a big belly when he was caught."
The police were called and officers were successful in removing the device and disposing of it in a controlled explosion. It is believed that the bomb may have been dropped in to the water by a military aircraft before being devoured.

squid, which was itself more than three feet-long, was caught in the
shallow waters off Guangdong province, China, and taken to the fish
market in Jiaoling county.
